I know its been forever since i blogged, but being a mom is alot of work and when i have free time i just want to relax lol i dont even know where to begin, alyssa rae is doing great she is 16 months, running around everywhere, talking up a storm, and as cute as a button. more and more she is looking so much like me its scary, but she acts just like her daddy! she has a mind of her own and is such a daredevil, she will just jump off of anything even if no one is there and climbs up everything like a little monkey, she scares me alot of the time but even when i think she has to be hurt she will just laugh, its so funny. She is a mamas girl but when daddys home you better believe she goes running to him as soon as he opens the door. Devin is now woking at Honda World in westminster, he has been there now for about 3 months, and doing such a great job, we couldnt be more proud. Im lucky enough to be able to be a stay at home mom. Alyssas words she can say are; banana, animal cracker, mama, daddy, no!, yeah, wa wa(water), up, papa, and everyday it seems like she says another one. she is like a sponge right now so i really watch what i say around her cause i want her to learn nothing but positive sayings. oh and she loves dancing and she can actually dance really well, im fpr sure putting her in dance classes when shes old enough. She is the light of our lives!

Baby Blessing

So Alyssa had her baby blessing on August 2,2009. Devin Did an amazing job! He said everything so perfectly, and alyssa looked absolutely adorable in her outfit! Then after sacrament family and friends went up to Devin's parents house, where we had delicious food. I loved having everyone together, alyssa is very much loved, what a lucky girl. My sister heather took some awesome pictures at the lunch-in. I seriously think she should go into doing photography.

I cant believe that my little princess is already 2 months! time seriously does fly by. She is so big now! she smiles all the time and is starting to kinda laugh, and she is making a ton of noises! Her blessing is going to be this sunday and i am so excited! I still need to find a dress for her, im just not liking what i see, but im pressing on time and i really need to get it like asap! lol
Anyways, alyssa is still sleeping through the night! yes! im just wondering how long thats really going to last for. Her hair in the front is finally growing back, cause she lost it all. and now its growing back lighter than before. She still looks like my twin.
Im still debating if i should l get her ears pierced when she is a baby, or when she is older? Seriously, devin and i were so blessed to get such a beautiful healthy baby. She is just so adorable lol And its the cutest thing, when she sleeps she has to have her hands not touching the blanket and up above her head, its so funny. i know i always say this but i really do love being a mom.

One Year Anniversary!

Today, it has been exactly one year since Devin and I got married! its so crazy how time seriously just flies by! I LOVE my husband so much... he is my lovey. I honestly dont know what i would do with out you Devin. Your my best friend, your an amazing husband, the best dad in the world to our baby girl, and an all around wonderful person.
I remember the first time i met you and man i thought you were so HOT! I woud have never thought that you would end up being my husband, but im so glad you are. Im so glad that i get to spend the rest of my life with you, and the here after. muaaaaaa besos! your the best

I know I know... its been like forever since i have blogged, i just didn't realize how much work it is to take care of a baby. by the end of the day I'm exhausted. But lately it been getting a bit easier cause she is on a schedule, which makes life alot easier. Alyssa is getting cuter by the minute, she is so strong and so smart! serioulsy she is now just barely 7 weeks and already has rlled over(but not on purpose, she just got really squirmy and rolled over) it freaked me out cause i went to go wash my hands for like a minute and when i came back to the couch she was on her stomach like really close to the edge! anyways, she loves her little bumbo!

She just all the sudden passed out in her bumbo it was so funny!

Alyssa is an awesome baby, she doesnt really cry much, she sleeps through the night! which everyone is telling me that i am lucky. lol many people say she looks just like me! which is nice cause every mother wants there little girl to look some what like them. but i can see a little bit of devin in her too. also, right before i was going to go back to work, the law firm decided to lay me off. which is a bummer. But at the same time im glad that i can stay home with alyssa and be with her, cause i was stressing about leaving her while i went to work. I love being a mom, and i know devin loves being a dad. its the best!

first bath

So we decided to give alyssa her first bath, after the hospital one that is. and i totally thought she was going to love it, cause i personally love baths and showers. well i was mistaken! she absolutely hated it! she is now traumatized by the bath. she totally freaked out on devin and i haha. now im dreading the next time we give her a bath, hopefully she will learn to love it.
Well besides the whole bath experience, being a mother is the best thing ever. yes it is challenging but yet very rewarding! its crazy to think that this perfect little angel is a part of me, and even crazier to think that now for the rest of my life i will be called mom! i love it! Basically for the past couple weeks i have just been resting like crazy, i think like by the weekend or next week ill be back on my feet and have more energy.

BABY ALYSSA

So i finally had my precious daughter, Alyssa Rae Howard. I went into the hospital Sunday night(5/17/09) to get induced cause i was a week late. When Devin and i got to the hospital, they told me i was still at 1cm! so at first i was told i could be there for 3 days if anything! about an hour about inducing me, my water broke! Then the next day 5/18/09 i was finally at 4cm, as that day went on my doctor kept checking me and i was still not progressing. finally i got an epidural, but it didnt work! like i couldnt feel my legs but waist up i could feel everything, which means i felt every contraction! so the re did it and still didnt work, and i got two extra boosts and no luck! Finally by around 5pm on monday after being in labor for about 16 hours, my doctor decided to do a c-section. By that point i had so much drugs in me and in so much pain i was so out of it, devin was making all the decisions for me. Then by 6:01 on monday night Alyssa Rae Howard was brought into the world. I dont really remember much of that whole night but it was the best day of my life! Everyone says that she looks just like me, which i totally love! but i can totally see devin in her also. Being a mother is honestly the best gift in the world. Im still getting used to all of it, and im tired alot/emotional too, but my my mom and devins mom have been such a big help!
My favorite thing is watching Devin with her, cause he really is hands down the best daddy ever! and you can tell she adores him as well, its the cutest thing in the world, i dont know what i would do without my amazing husband, he as been such a big help.
I have recovered from my c-section pretty well, im in a little pain sometimes but it wasnt as bad as i thought it was all going to be.
I feel so blessed, to have such an amazing little family, all though i really didnt like being pregnant i would have another baby in a heart beat. But that doesnt mean that we are going to start having one soon, its going to be awhile lol
The most amazing gift god could have ever given me is my daughter! ahh i just love her sooooooo much!

So i am 38 1/2 weeks and im sooo ready for this whole process to be over. im totally over the whole gaining weight, swollen feet, emotional, and just really uncomfortable stage.
I went to the doctors yesterday, and im still at 1 cm! she is no longer breech which is awesome. I dont know why i haven't progressed more but she just must be having a grand old time, cause she seems to not want to come out! As you can tell im not a patient person at all.lol i am just so excited to see my lil one and see what she looks like. The doctor did say that it could be any day now, cause its getting closer to the due date(i think he just said that cause i was so upset) but i have this feeling that she is going to be late, devin says she will be 6 days late, ugh! i guess we will have to see. If she comes one day before her due date, she will be a mothers day baby! But i totally wouldnt mind her coming before then lol

Baby Update

So this past thursday night, i started to feel really sick, so i went to bed thinking that i could just sleep through whatever was going on and everything would be fine. So then Friday morning came, and i was a mess. I was getting pretty big contractions and they were about 6 minutes apart, then starting throwing up, which made the contractions worse cause i got dehydrated. ugh! So i got Reene (my mother in law) to come over, then which she called labor and delivery and they said i should come in and they could see what was going on. Its always scary not knowing whats really going on, so i didnt know if i was going to have the baby or not. They pumped fluids in me, to see if that would help the contractions, which it did, but didnt stop them. After being there for about 4 hours! They decided it was safe for me to go home. The doctor did however did tell me that i am already 1cm, and my baby is breeched, which means i will be getting a c-section if she doesnt turn and the doctor doesnt think she will, but you never know. Wednesday, i get to see my personal doctor who will then tell me what is going to happen. Im still geting some crazy contractions every so often that last awhile, but they are still irregular, so for now i just have to toughen up and take the pain. Devin is already planning on when we are going to have our second child, HE IS CRAZY! Cause right now, im never wanting another child, im sure that will change, but for right now i just want to get the first one over with.

Devin had a pretty exciting fight! Devin dominated him on the ground and every where else, but i do have to admit the other guy had some brutal leg kicks. Devin looked awesome and did amazing, but at the end of it all the judges scored: 30/26(Devin won with that judge) next judge scored 28/28 and the other scored 28/28. so you would think that since two judges tied and Devin won the tie breaker that he would win, but for some crazy reason they called it a draw! We honestly still don't understand how that happened but it is what it is.Devin still won in my eyes! In the video you can hear that no one thought it was fare at all!

28 weeks!

I cant believe I am already 28 weeks, and i now only have 12 weeks left. Time is going by so fast! before i know it my little Alyssa Rae will be born. I have no clue really what to expect, I know its going to be hard, but how hard is the question? Devin thinks its going to be easy, I think he is crazy!
Valentines day was great, the day before Devin got me a ton a roses and flowers it was so cute! and I saw my best friend Tina, who I haven't seen since my wedding, then later Devin and I went to eat sushi, SO GOOD! And I got Devin to go see the movie "He's Just Not That Into You" which wasn't as good as I thought it was going to be. And Devin hated it, but he was a trooper.

Its been way to long since my last blog, sorry to all of you. I promise i will get better on updating. My pregnancy is coming along great, its going by so quick im already 26 weeks! And lately i've had a ton of energy, i just dont know how long thats going to last for, hopefully the rest of the time! My sister Amanda had her baby on January 28,2009, his name is Griffin and he is so adorable! My first nephew!

Devin just had a fight on January 29,2009. He was up against a guy called "the gorilla" but Devin took him down! Devin won by a technical knock out in the first round! woo hoo! He has another fight planned for March 21,2009(which is on his birthday)i cant wait for it! below is a video that we found on youtube of his fight, he looks awesome in it!

First, its 100% now that we are having a girl. My belly has gotten so much bigger now, totally look pregnant. She kicks all the time and devin finally felt her kick, which was pretty cool. I work all the time now, which is great cause it gives me something to do. Devin has a fight coming up on January 29th, i cant wait. i love seeing him fight! Christmas was great! we did christmas morning with to devins parents house, then went to Grandma Marys, then to my parents in Corona. It was a pretty eventful day, devin and i got alot of awesome gifts, the day was perfect! Then the next day was my dads birthday and we all went to benihanas for lucnch then for dessert we went to this Irish place in newport.
I cant wait for the new year cause we have to much thats going to happen, my sister is having a baby end of january, and then we are having our baby beginning of may! i cant wait, i just want to see what she looks like and to be a mom!
My cravings are pretty much normal for now, i still love mexican food more than i ever have.

IT'S A GIRL!!!!!

So Devin and I went to my ultra sound last week, and i got the tech lady to tell us what we are having. She said that it is only 98.9% sure cause there is that slight chance that it could change, but so far we are having a girl! I am thrilled! We already have the name picked out, its Alyssa Rae Howard! Devin did want a boy, but he is coming along and is loving that he is going to have a little princess.
The pregnancy is going great, im getting bigger, i felt the baby move, and my cravings are getting more intense!

So this past Saturday i wake up and no joke had a huge belly! It was so weird cause it totally came out of no where, even Devin was in shock. But i totally love it! cause everyday it is getting more and more real.
Oh by the way, Devin won his last fight! It was awesome. It went to all the 3 rounds and it was a unanimous decision! He was unstoppable! Also some very exciting news Devin hooked me up with getting a full time job at a law firm, its monday thru friday, awesome hours and its a sit down job so its perfect!

So im into my 2nd trimester!! Im finally over the whole morning sickness phase. I went to the doctors last week and i got to hear the babys heart beat! and it looks more like a person, i could see the head and the body, it was totally awesome! its becoming more real to me. I still have 6 months left but i have a feeling its going to go by so quick, its already been 3 months! The funny part is devin and i have only been married for 3 months and 3 weeks!

Im totally already having my cravings! Its not like anything weird, i just want mexican food all the time and pizza! Im more into now eating meals instead of snacking, which normally i just always snack. And i have lately been craving baskin robbins and pink berry like everyday!

Well its been too long since i blogged! Devin and I do have very exciting news... Im pregnant! its our little honeymoon baby, even though it was a little unexpected we are so excited! I am about 10 weeks along. I am due May 11th which is 11 days before my birthday so thats kind of cool. We wont know what we are having until around late november. We both are wanting a boy, but the most important thing to us is that the baby is healthy!
Devin has a fight coming up on the 30th, its not with Sho XC, its a smaller event. No doubt that he is going to win though.

Newlyweds!!

Devin and I are married! yay! We have been married now for 13 days,dang it doesnt feel like its been that long. wow! The wedding was perfect, getting married in the temple is the most amazing thing ever. knowing that we are going to be together for all time and eternity is the best feeling ever! i wouldnt have been married any other way.

We took tons of pictures! which i am still waiting "patiently" for, from the photographer. But i got a couple from friends and family that i will post. The wedding day was perfect, the weather wasn't too hot. There were some complications, such as, the dj being super late and sucked really bad! the cake lady was late as well. The car we were going to drive to the reception shut down, so after 2 hours sitting at the temple parking lot we had our photographer drive us to the dealership to get a car to drive to the reception. But, once we got in our cool car( i forgot what kind of car it was but i know its like really cool) devin and i were both starving, so we went through the drive threw at Valcano Burger, and they gave us free frys/drinks so we took some pictures with them lol

Once we finally arrived at the recpetion, dealt with some drama wedding stuff. Then once it officially started everything just fell in to place and it turned out really nice. :) And thank you so much to everyone who supported Devin and I and our love for one another! Love you all!!

Oh yeah, and if your wondering about the honeymoon, it was awesome! We left the next day, to go on the Mexican Rivera cruise for a week. We went to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatalan, and Cabo San Lucas! It was perfect! Unfortunately we forgot to take any pictures!
The married life is the best thing ever! And i love my HUSBAND so very much! and our love for one another is so beautiful, STRONG, and the most amazing thing ever!!

So i havent written a blog in awhile. and i am house sitting devins house while the Howard family is at the river,i am so bummed i couldnt go. work gets in the way of everything!! so i decided while being completely bored that ill recap the past month for you all... wedding plans are coming along great, its just coming by so fast and its a little overwhelming at times. Devin and i are doing great! Still madly in love! But poor Devin after being sick for several weeks, i finally got him to go to the doctors, and found out that he has walking pneumonia. He is doing better now, but he still isnt completely over it.
I had a wonderful birthday! It was May 22nd!! so now im 20 and i am no longer in my teens! The whole day was perfect, well except for the whole thunderstorm and tornados. Devin took me to a very nice dinner at The Cat In The Custard Cup. Best Filet Mignon i have ever had, it was like i was eating a piece of heaven!augh so good!!
And as of today we only have 42 days left till we are married!! ahh cant wait!!

So today i was getting my wedding dress altered and all that good stuff, when all the sudden it hit me, IM GETTING MARRIED IN 2 MONTHS! I will soon be known as Kelly Howard. Its soooo crazy cause it feels like it was just yesterday when Devin proposed. Time is flying by and i know that this wedding is just going to all the sudden creep up on us. Which is so exciting cause i am almost done with all the wedding stuff anyways and then before i know it ill be married! I cant wait to begin that new chapter in my life, and be known as someones wife. Honestly, i am a very lucky person, im marrying the man of my dreams, getting married in the temple, marrying into such an amazing family (the howards) which i absolutely adore and love them all so much, and we get to start a family of our own! And the cool thing is, this is just the beginning!

We had a super fun time on our double date at the beach. we ate at TK Burger, so good! Then had a little bonfire, made smores, then all the sudden it got super cold as you can see we tried to bundle up and get warm, which totally worked!

I have to hand it to Devin he was very cleaver when he proposed. My whole family knew except me. He got my dad to take me to dinner. while we were at dinner he went to my house and set it all up. When i got home i went to my room and there were rose petals all down my hall then i opened the door there was a path of rose petals going to the middle of my room with candles lining the path. Dozens of roses everywhere. Then he was standing at the end of the path , when i got up to him i could hear his heart pounding, super nervous but it was one of the most happiest moments of my life.
